CHAI TOWN!

When the weather gets cold, I like to warm up with a steamy, foamy chai tea latte.  So which is best, Starbucks or Coffee bean and Tea Leaf?  What I really want to find out is..
WHICH CHAI?
The Starbucks Chai has got a lot of spice to it.  It's more punchy than sweet, but still creamy and delicious.  A 12oz non fat Chai Tea Latte from Starbucks is 150 calories, has no fat, 6 grams of protein, and a whopping 32 grams of sugar and 33 carbs!!  They don't offer a reduced sugar or sugar free version which is a shame.
The Vanilla Chai Tea Latte from The Coffee Bean is smoother and creamier than the Starbucks version.  It is the perfect sweet afternoon pick me up.  I order mine with the NSA (no sugar added) vanilla powder and skim milk.  The 12oz version of this has 100 calories and 10 grams of sugar.
This is the clear winner on both taste and for your waisteline.  The excess sugar of the Starbucks version is proven unnecessary because this one is sweeter and has less sugar!
Go out and get one today!  With the calories and sugar you save, treat yourself to a biscotti while you're at it.  YOU DESERVE IT :-)
